Family Service of Morris County was founded in 1813 and provides counseling, support and education services for the community. It offers various programs and services for children, seniors and their families, such as a social day care program, caregivers support services, employee assistance program, geriatric care, adult counseling and additional outreach services. Its family service provides a mental health jail liaison to offer on-site clinical and case management services to incarcerated individuals. Its family transition service program offers assistance and counseling service to individuals and families in the areas of marital issues divorce recovery, dealing with codependency, bereavement, parent and child issues and depression, anxiety and stress. The organization is located in Morristown, N.J., and has been the approved by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services.
