great place for your money

The windmill is my #1 favorite place to eat in and around Morgantown. It is also my sons favorite place. Granted, it Is an older establishment, and is in need of some updating, however it Is NOT dirty as the other reviews state!!! The food here Is fantastic! I have never had any problems ( and trust me I am VERY picky). The prices are fantastic also. I strongly recommend the windmill!!

Horrible Service

This restaurant is a horrible place to eat. The food is awful, the service staff is rude and disrespectful and down right mouthy.

When I ordered bacon I expected it to be bacon, not something that looked deep fried? Scrambled eggs are not too hard to make so why must I get runny scrambled eggs every time. My daughter ordered french toast and when she went to put butter on it it literally made a hole through the french toast. The place is filthy and disgusting.

I would not recommend it at all. If your a tourist try the Heritage instead at least their food is good and their service is excellent.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neat "windmill", no ketchup at table

I have wanted to eat here for ages. The giant fake windmill reminds me of a small fake windmill near my deceased grandparents house.

Today we had the chance to stop in for breakfast.

The Windmill Family Restaurant is sort of a tourist trap. It has a small gift shop that foolishly placed the book/map/printed material rack right in front of the sunny windows - so now all the things that are for sale are faded and nasty.

The food was OK although the portions weren't going to make the record books for their size. What struck me was that the waiter asked if we wanted jelly or ketchup - and then had to get it. What kind of breakfast joint doesn't just keep it on the table?? Add to that the fact that the ketchup was some offbrand food service type and I had the answer to the cashier's uninterested question of "How were things"? - my reply: "OK"

My meal was OK, the view of the flowering trees was pretty. The place was OK in every category. OK is OK. Better is better.
