In 2017, we grew our family again, adopting two well-established and well-loved restaurants. Morganton-based Cucina Rustica and La Pizzeria at Cucina Rustica were opened by longtime friends of ours years before we arrived in Blue Ridge. When they were thinking of retiring, we saw the opportunity to own the land where our restaurants would live. So we purchased the two Italian-style concepts and brought in Danny’s touch with fresh ingredients and classic European chef training. WON'T BE BACK
We met some old friends and decided to come here to catch up. Our waitress was great. The restaurant itself was nice but cold and dark. We needed flashlights to read our menus. The food was good but I think a bit pricey for what you got. The young man that was there was overly eager to take our plates before we were even done eating. And in the end, as soon as our bill was paid, we were told that they had a party coming in and we needed to leave. No sitting to finish you drink or coffee. Just kind of: we served your order, you paid, now get out. Very rude way to do business. Neither us or our friends will ever go back.
