There isn't enough space on this computer to share with everyone what this place has done for me. so i will try to make this long story short. When i moved to north carolina, i was leaving a 10 year marriage to a drug dealer who had bullied me into thinking i was worth nothing. i moved here with two children whom he would not help me support. i was completely on my own. No one knew what i had been thru. So of course, i got caught with 2grams of weed.....wow. i never knew that getting in trouble would be what set me free...and save my life.
When i came to bk professional counseling center, i was scared, beat down, and completely ready to give up on life. my children hated me because their dad had made me look so awful in their eyes. He even made me believe it. But what Rhonda Lazenby made me believe was that i could change my future. it was up to me.
Like i said when i came it was for weed. but no one knew about the cocaine and other things i had been doing for years with my husband. i felt like others would look down on me if i shared it. Because on my own...i quit it all. it wasn't easy and all i wanted was someone to be proud of me.
Rhonda and our group at the time...listened to everything i said. they cared. they gave advice. they weren't just my friends...they became my family. Today, 4 years later, im free of it all. Rhonda stuck with me thru it all. I have my children with me and they are just as proud as she is. im clean. i have a new baby girl and maybe one day her father and i will be married. but it was because of bk professional counseling center that i got my confidence and myself back. Rhonda never gave up on me. her love and care for people is unconditional. I thank you Rhonda for the person you are and for the job that you do. most of these lawyers and counselors are in it for the money. not because they actually care. But yall let me tell you. God sent this woman thru hell and back so she could understand what all of us are going thru. thank you!!
