I took my dog to the grooming salon for her appointment for a bath and nail trim. The store called to tell me she was ready but there was a small problem. She got cut on her foot. When I got to the store, they said that she cut herself while she was in the kennel. If this is even the truth, then the kennels are unsafe as she is used to a kennel and has never cut herself. Secondly, they wrapped her paw up and told me it was still bleeding. They said I could take her to Banfield (Not my own vet) to get her checked out. While I was paying for the grooming service (yes, I still had to pay even though she had blood on her foot and would bleed for days on my carpet as well) another customer approached me about my dog's wrapped foot. Her dog was also at the salon that day and was told the exact same story about her dog's foot being cut in the kennel. I did take my dog to Banfield which was at a different location and they looked at her foot. They found it strange that she could have cut herself in the kennel as well as there is nothing sharp in the kennels. They said not to ever wrap her foot like the first Petsmart did because it could become infected. They put some glue on it and said it would heal up. After several days of scrubbing my carpet due to the wound opening and bleeding everywhere, she did finally heal. I got a call from Petsmart saying they hope I will come back. I had to pay over $50 to get my dog's foot cut, drive her to a different location for the pet hospital, and had to constantly scrub my carpets. I am shocked I was responsible for the bill. Beware. They obviously lied to me and still make me pay the bill.
