The concept of Real Barbecue and great Ribs started out with a small family-style barbecue operation in 1989 on U.S. 41 in Fort Myers, Florida. With the success of that location a second restaurant opened in Cape Coral in 1990. Having outgrown the small location on U.S. 41, by 1992, a move was made up the street to a larger building along with partners Paul and Craig Peden, successful restaurateurs in Southwest Florida for over 20 years. Later that same year, they converted a Fort Myers Beach location into a Rib City®, and the legend continued. In 1994, a location in North Naples was opened and Rib City's® award-winning Baby Back Ribs were now available in two counties. The concept of Real Barbecue and great Ribs started out with a small family-style barbecue operation in 1989 on U.S. 41 in Fort Myers, Florida. My son and I were in Colorado on a business trip.We stopped on the way back at the Holiday Inn in Montrose. My son asked the girl at the desk if they had someone we could call to have something to eat brought to the room. She handed us a list of resturants and a guy to call that would order for us and bring it to the room.I wish I could remember the guys name. If your in Montrose stay at the Holiday Inn the people are super nice. Back to the food. We ordered from Rib City and I'm telling you the truth that have the BEST baby back ribs I've ever eat.My son let me try a little piece. I got a steak and it was great, and let me suggest an appetizer. Buffalo Shrimp, WOW. We talk about Southern Hospitality here in North Carolina but Southern Hospitality don't have nothing on Colorado Hospitality. Well I've board you enough.Remember if your in Montrose,CO (EAT AT RIB CITY) 2000 miles is a long way to go eat ribs, but if I'm ever out that way again I will look you guys up.
