Their parts are about double in price from what you can buy from Amazon, example a carburetor that has a list price of 37.99 OEM Brigs and Straton they want $65 and $99 bucks to install, I didn't let them fix my Toro and considering a major part, the fuel cup was off because you can normally just clean the jet (that little brass nut that removes it with the holes in it ) I doubted they had really had tried to crank it at all. I needed a new washer for it so I just left it off and was going to let them add a washer and just screw it back in. The air filter was super dirty because I had messed up and said the devil for a second working on it and oil got on it from not tipping the mower sideways the right way so guess tech said I aint cleaning that carb and wanted to sell me a new one, anyway decided to shoot it with carb cleaner and zoom! saved $181 but meantime bought the ebay carb part for 12 bucks if ever have trouble again I am going to watch a YouTube vid and do it myself. Must say staff is nice and accommodating, actually like them folks understanding i was on limited budget without a judgment call, even if it cost me 50 buck diagnosis (Their understandable upfront shop charge in case you don't pick it up after getting estimate that you dont get back unless you let them work on it) to remind me depend on me and anyone playing religious music on phone waiting hold is somebody to eye as a crook in my years of experience cause it always invariably happens and there is a gotcha somewhere! CTE Outdoor Power on Perry Hill Road in Montgomery provides lousy lawn mower service. The spring special is not only over-priced, they don't complete all the services which you pay for. Also, they adjusted my mower drive system and clutch without contacting me first--now, the mower is harder to start (clutch not engaging properly) and the drive system doesn't propel the mower as quickly as it did before I brought it to them for service.

Additionally, their parts costs are different; the store does not match their website prices.

We have purchased several Stihl products from CTE in the past with no problems. However, yesterday I took in a Stihl gas blower which a local repair service had declared "not worth fixing" . They said to fix the problem would cost more than 60% of the cost for a new blower. They did not charge us but we decided to have it checked somewhere else because it was not all that old. CTE knew I had to leave quickly for an appointment so the service desk did a really quick check to see if he could determine the problem. (I did not tell him it was "unfixable"). He came back in about 3 minutes and said it was just There was no charge by CTE for their help.

I took my Honda lawn mower to have it looked at under warranty from Honda because it wouldn't stay running. I was told I would old be called back within a day with diagnoses. They never called I had to call them back 3 days later. I was told the work order was filed wrong. I was told they had to replace the carburetor and it wasn't covered by the warranty. Then they told me the lawn more had been worked on before and wires had been removed and rewired wrong and was going to cost even more to fix. The mower had never been worked on by anybody else. They was the first. So when I ask would the technician put that in writing so I could take it back to Home Depot where it was bought brand new. I was told they would do that. Then the service manager came out and repeated the the same story that I was just told. We then went and look at the mower and was told the mower want crank bec u are the coil pack was bad. I then cranked up the mower and he had no answer. Only to come and tell me the tech hadn't yet checked it out yet. So basically they are Very incompetent or very shady and tied to get more money out of me. In the end they refunded my money. They said they did put on a new carburetor as well as sharpen my blades plus supposedly rewired it. Now though my trust in them is lost and I couldn't recommend them. I am sorry I had to experience this because they are close by but will definitely look for another authorize Honda service center next time.
