In 1882, at a country crossroads, a group of committed Christians claimed the scripture, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ..." (Romans 1:16), and Benton's Cross Roads Baptist Church was founded. From a single wood frame building to a four-building complex, including a family life center and multipurpose facility, the church provides an exciting place for worship, spiritual growth and fellowship. Benton's Cross Roads Baptist Church is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, the NC Baptist Convention and is one of the largest complexes in the Union Baptust Association. The church blends traditional and contemporary worship styles and maintains an outstanding record of local and worldwide missions support.
