I can't sign in to edit or remove my negative review from years ago, but I wanted to change it because I have had a completely different experience with them. We have a difficult area for garbage pick up because of lack of room and the bins blocking a shared driveway. Neighbors move our bins to a bad location or leave a ton of trash that looks like it's ours, but I feel like Brandt's is really trying to work with us to solve the problem and the customer service has been good. I feel like they are doing everything they can in a situation that has to be as frustrating for them as it has been for us.

I actually like Brandt's, I pay my bill in person and they are always very friendly. I have never had an issue with my service. As with most everything in the USA, cost is getting expensive, but you cannot blame the business, they too have bills and employees to pay. Thanks BRANDT'S!

This business is so bad that it caused me to get a yelp account. They frequently overcharge for services, their invoices are often missing dates and explanations for additional charges, and their pickup times are thoroughly randomized. Often times they charge me more one month than the next with 0 explanation. If you walk through the neighborhoods of Monmouth on a Friday evening, you'll see a sea of yellow tags on trash bins. Because, you see, Brandt's refuses to actually do their job and pick up the trash. Instead, they find inane things to refute their ability to pick up trash, yard debris, and recycling.

My first experience with them, was when I set up my account. They were rude and pretty much ignored me throughout all of my questions. Since then, I've sometimes not gotten a bill for two months only to suddenly begin getting bills monthly. Every month, it's a different amount. If you call and ask questions, they get mad at you and tell you to look at your bill before hanging up.

You never know if Brandt's will pick up the trash, they can charge you for a service they refuse to provide, and they will come up with reasons to charge you extra. Usually they leave our trash when they meant to leave our neighbor's, but they come back and pick it up no problem. Today they didn't pick it up because we had a ball of paper and tape from painting that lifted up the lid. They said they would pick it up for an extra fee tomorrow, but I didn't think it was worth it since I am remodeling and I was already on my way to the dump. I didn't want it blocking my driveway, and so I asked for a refund instead. They said no. So I am stuck paying them extra or paying them for nothing. They would have charged us extra today, but I had a note put on my account to not charge us for overflow after they kept charging us for our neighbor's extra trash bags. I still can't believe it was so difficult to pick up our garbage that they needed to charge extra.

Home from work today and all three of my trash cans are gone. (Recycle, yard debris and trash)! We have only been with them a month as we just bought our home here. Not impressed at all, very poor first impression.

I agree with Pamela C, it is hard to remember which Friday is garbage & recycling day and which is yard debris. We has a refrigerator magnet, but the year ended, and we didn't get a new sticker. It would be helpful if Brandt's sent a new sticker for 2016. Also would be helpful if Brandt's would do something with their website (http://brandtssanitaryservice.com) which is currently just a placeholder. Even better would be a Facebook page where customers could see the schedule and also subscribe to see newsfeed notices about holiday schedules, and special recycling or yard debris events. We didn't receive any new sticker, so it's been frustrating trying to guess. I guess we'll have to go to Brandt's and request a calendar sticker. Other than the confusion about the schedule, service is just fine. I have no complaints about the service.

I really dislike that your pick up schedule is for every other week instead of every week, its so confusing, no one can remember if its the right week or if that was last week...we have one neighbor near us and they put there garbage cans out 'every' monday! They are confused, everyones confused! Is it this week? Is it next week? and the schedule calander doesnt say it what week it is, it just has every other week in bold, which means what? thats the week or not the week??? Please clarifiy what dates to put our cans out so i can tell the neighbors too.

Once again, my recycling has not been picked up. Everyone else's on my street has been picked up. My recycling has sat out on the curb since Thursday night, pick up is Friday morning. This is Saturday morning now. My trash was picked up Friday morning. My neighbors trash was picked up Friday morning, as was their recycling.
