not a very good experience..it is actually frustrating experience..i ordered a sectional almost 2 mths ago..they said it's going to be delivered 30-45 days..and whenever they said they will call, they don't follow thru..it's almost 60 days already and i have not received my sectional..very very very bad customer service..have i known this before, i would have not went/ordered from this store..will not recommend this place at all!

I bought two couches and they were promised to me the following week. After not hearing from them I called to inquire about them. I was told they didn't make the truck. The salesman said "sorry" no offer to do anything else. I had to wait four days until the owner returned to have him help me schedule the couches for delivery. The delivery driver arived three hours early while I was still at work. I told him my appointment was at 5, and that he needed to come back. He did not. I called the store, and they said they didn't know what to tell me. I am again waiting for the store owner to return my call. As of right now I have no couches.

DO NOT shop here.

False Advertising

Advertising is bogus! Bedroom set was surrounded by signs with the price of 799.99 including photo, but the set was truly 1499.99 before taxes.

It's not worth it!

I purchased a large sectional it was late,it was poorly sewn,and the lining was coming undone I only had the sofa in my possession for a week.

I also realized my sectional and pillows were filled with cheap filling nothing like what they had in there show room. Buyer be aware! Don't expect to get what you see in the show room.

I moved to Modesto over 20 yea...

I moved to Modesto over 20 years ago. We shopped at Hansen's way back when it was located in the smaller (now vacant) building out front. Our impression was that they carried nice stuff, but more than we wanted to spend at the time. After becoming empty nesters, we decided to upgrade to some nice furniture. We went in and spent $3,000 on two Lazy Boys and two Basset sofas that were special ordered with matching fabric on all pieces. We later came back and purchased two end tables and a lamp. All furniture is beautiful and looks great. All told, we spent just under $4,000.

Unfortunately, our experience with Hansen's as a business was a huge disappointment for the following reasons:

1) When we made our initial purchase, delivery was much later than promised. I suspect they may delay ordering until they can get a full truck for delivery to Modesto area to save on shipping costs. Not a deal-breaker, quality is worth the wait; but disappointing nonetheless.

2) Our salesperson indicated an interior decorator was available free of charge. After receiving our initial purchase, we called to take advantage of the offer. No one would call us back to set up an appointment.

3) One of the Lazy Boy recliners mechanisms did not work right from the beginning. My wife has made several attempts to have Hansen's come out and fix it over the last 2 years. Last week I went in and asked to talk to the owner. A person introduced themself as the owners son, looked up the account, and he said there was no record of my wife making contact with the business. One of those contacts I was present as it was the same time we made our second purchase. However, he promised someone would call on Monday of this week. When the person called, they said we were on our own to get it fixed and they gave a referral to a repairman.

4) On Wednesday of this week, I called the Winton store where the Hansen owner works. I left my phone number and mentioned I wanted to give the owner one last chance to make things good. Unfortunately, he has not called me back and I am left to assume he just does not care.

At the end of the day, as a purchaser we received no tangible benefit from buying from Hansen's. They were long on promises and perception, short on actual performance. It is too bad, for a relatively small problem they missed out on a $1,800 guest room purchase in this past year and all our future purchases.

stay away from this furniture ...

stay away from this furniture store has the worst customer service ever, ordered furniture never received after little over a month they never gave clear reason on why it was taking to long, when i called them they always say they call back , we had to call them over and over then they still wanted to take more time, asked for my down payment back, i am a very unsatisfied customer,they deserve zero stars.

Horrible customer service!!!!!!!!

I spent $3000 dollars on a sectional there, people were great until they delivered my couch and received full payment. I had a defect on my brand new couch which was noted on the delivery checklist. I received a call asking what the problem was and was told I would get a call back regarding what they would do to fix. So after a couple months of not hearing anything and me procrastinating a little I go in ther personally and everybody came up to us with a smile until they knew I needed some help with an old purchase, they all turned there smiles upside down and began to be rude!!!!!!!! The lady called the next day with total attitude saying "well it's out of warranty, and there is NOTHING we are going to do about it over and over again! I will tell everybody I know not to spend there hard earned money at that place, maybe people need to goto a more family oriented place like AL's FURNITURE!!!!!!!!!
