John is always professional. We have been filing taxes with John for sometime and he has always had our best interest at heart while preparing our documents. Thank you John for always extending your services to us, even across the miles, as we no longer live in Mobile, we take a special trip down to see John specifically! We have even sent several referrals and those referrals have all had nothing but great things to say about your quality of work! You are amazing.

My family and I have always used rodgers tax service. Hes very professional, doesn't try get over on you. My grandparents, aunts, uncles and parents have used Rodgers Tax Service over the years hes family to us.

Highly recommended tax preparer! John is always professional and willing to answer any questions while preparing our taxes. We no longer live in Mobile, however we take a special trip down annually to file our taxes with John. 10+ years utilizing his services. Thank you for being such a great help John!

Wow! I just read the "ANONYMOUS " review what a bunch crap I've been using John Rogers for at lease 30 years and he has always been honest and friendly and helpful. He's a gentleman, he does a great job and I have recommended him to friends and family and the feedback I get from them is always posative. That horrible ANONYMOUS review is fiction and I think a compector must have wrote it.

let me start off with i have been using Mr.Rodgers for the last 5yr and he has never given me any trouble about waiting to pay until my taxes come in. i have made the same call when i first used jhon and he said 40.00 per person file so if you file jointly it will be 80 if you efile at the end its around 30.00 if you add that up its 110.00. anyway i would never use anyone else then jhon.

John Rogers Tax Service (aka Rogers Tax Service) Shows Hostility & Verbal Abuse, and Not Consistent With What He Says.





I wish I could give him 0 stars, because 0 would reflect his true rating.





We’ve dealt with John Rogers’ poor customer service & his inconsistency of honoring his prices, for a couple of years, but this year, 2014, his hostility was unacceptable.





Setting the appointment, he said it would be $40 for our simple W2’s & deductions. After we finished signing our return, he said it would be $110. I reminded him that he said it would be $40 over the phone. He closed everything up & IMMEDIATELY started yelling, shouting “I'm not going to argue with you! It‘s $110! You can pay it or there‘s the door!” ! Every time I tried to speak, he cut me off and interrupted me with "it's $110! if you don't want to pay it, find someone else!” Finally, I was able to get a word in, and I asked him how we were supposed to know it was $110 if he never told us & he said “ I cant answer that. I have over 700 people & I cant keep up with it all” so I replied “well if you had told us, we could have come prepared”. He was shouting SO LOUD, that the man in the waiting room was looking to see. I kept asking him why he was being so mean & yelling, but he continued to shout & avoid answering me, yelling at me, repeating over and over, “it’s $110. you can pay it or there’s the door!” I asked him if I could have time to get the extra $70 that he never told me about, and then left because I didn’t want him to see me cry from how badly he treated me.





When we came back, he pretended to give us a welcome greeting, so the client walking out of his office could hear him being “nice“ to us, saying “hey guys”. As soon as we walked in his office, he handed us our W2’s & said “there’s everything you gave me” in a harsh tone. (went from a pretend welcome greeting to a cold, harsh tone, within a few seconds). I said “we came here to pay you”. He said “no! you need to leave now.” I asked him why he was being a jerk. He replied in a VERY LOUD & HOSTILE tone “YOU CAN EITHER LEAVE NOW OR I WILL CALL THE LAW!” I asked him again why he was being a jerk. He yelled “YOU HAVE 5 SECONDS TO GET OUT NOW!” I looked at him, and his face was blood red. I was scared. As I was walking out, I said “you’re an a** hole. because he treated me like crap, yelled at me with his hostile attitude, made me cry because of how loud and angry he was and the hateful things he said to me, and then threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave within 5 seconds of me walking into his office, when this was HIS fault! He said “you can call me anything you want girl” and as he shut the door, kicking us out, I heard him call me something very vulgar, which I wont repeat.





I almost wish I had let him call the police, so I could tell them how badly he treated me and have it on record, but I was tired of John Rogers’ abuse, so I left.





Lashing out with verbal hostility, yelling, and making clients cry, is NOT how to run a business. In my opinion, with John Rogers’ explosive behavior and rage, he shouldn’t be working with people, for the client's safety as well as to avoid emotional damage.





Find someone else to do your taxes, who isn’t verbally abusive and makes you scared, like John Rogers will do.





Turbo Tax is free for federal and $29.99 for state, and very easy to follow to do them yourself, if you consider filing your own taxes. Turbo Tax also gives you more deductions to file than John Rogers will, which gives you more money back on your return than he does
