Nidal Bassam Omar, M.D. is a neurosurgeon with Infirmary Neurosurgery. He was also awarded UAB Neurosurgery’s inaugural Jacob R. Lepard MD Award for Outstanding PGY-2 Resident Consultant in Neurosurgery. Dr. Omar’s research on a variety of neuroscience topics has been widely published, and he has co-authored multiple chapters in academic textbooks.
