Tapestry Folkdance Center is a unique space and a unique community located on Minnehaha Avenue in Minneapolis, MN. Since 1983, this not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) membership organization has been fulfilling its mission "To create opportunities for the national network of folk and folkdance organizations. It is a member of the National Folk Organization, the Country Dance and Song Society and the Society of Folk Dance Historians.

Fabulous place to participate in all kinds of dancing with great people at very low cost for your recreation and entertainment dollar!! No partner is needed. Live bands and recorded music! All dances taught!! Free off and on street parking; 2 blocks from light rail. Modern sprung-maple dance floors, air conditioned, safe and comfortable-"best dance hall in the country"" many say. Tapestry offers regular contra dances, international folk dances, swing dances, English Country dances, Scandinavian dances, and many special dances. Current schedule always on the web. Special discounts for students. Clean, safe, alcohol-free and smoke-free environment. Great fun for singles of all ages, students (who get discount prices), families, and couples. You need more dancing in your life!!!
