They say when you get good service, you tell an average of 3 people. When you get bad service, you tell everyone.



I've been to Jackson's a handful of times and thought it was decent food for a bar. Nothing spectacular, but not bad either. After my most recent experience, I will not return.



To begin with, service was terrible. When we walked in, our server told us to sit in the back room, which she proceeded to not spend any time in. While waiting for our drinks, two other couples came in and left because they did not receive service.



As for the food. I had a veggie wrap with fruit. The veggies were drowning in animal grease. I understand that restaurants use oil to fry veggies, but this was disgusting. The wrap was soaked through and was dripping. There was a large puddle of grease on my platter. It tasted like a hamburger, and my fingers stunk of hamburger. People who order vegetables don't want them dripping with animal fat.



The fruit contained melon, pineapple, and strawberry. The melon was hard as a rock and the pineapple was on the edge of being rotten. The one strawberry was actually decent.



My father had a chicken sandwich and pushed it away after 2 bites. All he said was that it wasn't good... and he eats everything.



While waiting more than 15 minutes for our server to bring the bill, we had a disappointing conversation about 5 other places that we wished we would have gone to instead. Having had enough of the waiting game, I had to get up and track down our server. Another couple was seated by this time and was still waiting for service.



Needless to say, the tip reflected our experience. Next time, I'll spend my money elsewhere. I will not return to Jackson's and I will not hesitate to let everyone know what a waste of time and money it was.
