*****HORRIBLE CUSTUMER SERVICE*****

When I called to ask why my garbage had not been picked up I was told they could not find my check and that she had a few places to look, Bottom line is they could not locate my check and acted like it was my problem, I told the woman (Linda) not to worry about it that I would handle it and I hung up, She proceeded to call back twice and left a nasty message on my phone! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY!! Don't waste your time or money with this company!!!

I've been using J and L for many years. I have found their service to be outstanding. NEVER have they missed a scheduled pickup or left a single shred of trash behind. Great company.

I have been with J&L Pickup Services since Sep of 2011. I had been using Emerald Waste Service and The Patriot Company earlier and tired of their sloppy inconsistent services. Also I objected to their always changing ‘Fuel Surcharge’. It went up periodically but never down. I suppose they thought their customers were morons or something . J&L have provided timely and consistent excellent service at a steady, fair price. I also appreciate the personal touch. As someone said earlier, you get a person on the phone when you call, not a machine.

I wholeheartedly recommend J&L to anyone in the area who desires excellent dependable service.

THEY ARE THE BEST GARBAGE COMPANY AROUND. THEY NEVER MISS MY TRASH, AND HAVE EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I RECCOMEND THEM TO EVERYONE! THEY ARE A PLEASURE TO DO BUSINESS. I GUESS THATS ONLY TO CUSTOMERS THAT PAY THIER BILLS! AND WHAT GARBAGE COMPANY IS GOING TO TAKE 15 BAGS OF TRASH, PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL SWITCH!

I would like to make a comment about J&L. The other two complaints on here I can not understand. I recently started with J&L after constant problems with Patriot and Waste Management. I know that J&L is a small business and they do not provide the cans and all the other who ha but listen when you call them they actually answer the phone and they are personable. When you finally get through at patriot you get the rudest &%@**&#@! in the world. I witnessed the husband of the two man team at J&L actually pick up a piece of trash that flew out on the ground. Now what person from any other company would actually do that. Oh and can you believe they actually come when they are scheduled to come and get your trash. Wow that is amazing. So when you are looking on this sight for their number give them a call and ignore the other to inputs they were obviously already upset about soemthing else or they were in the wrong.

I sympathize with dce4356's experience with this "company." I searched for J&L Garbage Service while on the phone with a friend of mine who had the unfortunate occasion to hire them. She (my friend) had a very similar experience as dce4356 reported, except that J&L's lone driver actually came to her door and when her brother answered, told him that she could take her own *&!!$$ trash off. Yes, he cursed at her brother. When my friend called the "office," the lady who answered said she was sorry and could refund her money. My friend said no, you need to get out here and get my trash, to which the lady replied that she couldn't make the guy come back out. Consumers beware! You do not want to get tangled up with this so called business. After writing this, I think I will look at calling the BBB as well as whichever agency regulates garbage collection.

Absolutely awful company. Refused to pick up my trash the first day of service because there was "too much" there (15 to 20 medium sized kitchen bags, normal amount for a family of 3 without trash service for 3 weeks). They were extremely rude on the phone when I called to get an explanation, and then had the gall to tell me they'd still like me for a customer, but that I just couldn't put that much trash out. Absolutely ridiculous. I hope they get run out of business by somebody with a little more sense. Too bad Darwinism and the free market don't work quickly enough in some cases

I signed up for their service after not having trash service for a couple of weeks, I set out my trash (15 medium size kitchen bags) at the end of the driveway on the appointed date for pickup and they refused to take it because it was too much! So I had this trash at the end of my driveway baking in the sun all day, and when I got home and called them they were extremely rude and acted as if I was the jerk for putting too much trash out. YOU'RE A FREAKING GARBAGE COMPANY! PICKING UP TRASH IS YOUR JOB! They could've taken it and called later and said hey I have to charge you an extra 5 bucks or something but they obviously don't want another customer. I usually try to give my business to local family owned places but this is one of the most incompetent, ignorant, rude family owned businesses I have ever run into and I honestly hope they get run out of the market by somebody with a little more common sense.
