After calling a number of driveway contractors, this company came on with an exceptionally low quote compared to about five others. That raised an eyebrow with me. Why was there quote that low? It was difficult to determine. As I got closer to contracting, the owner asked me to pull the municipal permit. That was the red flag. I had talked with the local government about a number of factors with my planned driveway. They cautioned me about using any contractors who asked the homeowner to pull the permit. When I notified this company that I would be selecting another company, the owner became very, very angry. And, I knew I had made the correct decision to keep searching.
