no novice here regarding authentic Mexican cuisiene - so THAT said - food at this place was most definitely sub-standard and just plain odd tasting. The salsa was palitable - chips good. Rest of entre was NOT anything to brag about - edible, fresh (i hope), but there is MUCH BETTER out yonder anywhere ( yes, to include even Rosa's)! But the reason im writing is much more important than the foregoing food quality. The SERVICE SUCKS! NO ONE CAME OVER TO ACKNOWLEDGE US AT ALL - WE HAD TO FLAG SOMEONE OVER - OR GO GET WHAT WE NEEDED UP AT THE COURTESY BAR. WE WILL N E V E R GO BACK AGAIN! PLUS WE WILL TOUT WHEREVER WE GO AND WHOMEVER WE MEET N O T TO DINE THERE! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND MOST OF STAFF FROM OUT OF COUNTRY AND DOESN'T SPEAK ENGLISH! note: We should have brought our own taco. bland and nada - not worth the $2.50 charge

I love Mexican food. I eat Mexican food whenever my husband and I can find a restuarant that can fit our tractor to park. When we are home we eat out at Mexican restuarants or cook it ourselves.

We were in Midland visiting family and some of us had decided to go out to eat. Of course Mexican food was the topic of choice. We were in two groups equalling 7 people.

This was some of our first time going to this restuarant.

We asked the waiter that these would be seperate tickets. We didn't get seperate tickets. We had to seperate our tickets at the counter which took time. It was a bit annoying. They also automatically put on the gradituity which was not worth our waiter. The waiter was terrible. He came by our table only 2 times to check on us. The rest of the time we were having to look for him and flag him down for refills, napkins, etc.

Looking at the menu, I didn't see much of anything that I was interested in. Though cheese enchiladas are usually a top favorite for me, I wasn't interested in it this day. Expecially for the price. If the price was on the lower side, yet still a high price for the item, it was something more like of the plain cheese enchiladas, tacos, chili relleno.

The menu was also a bit confusing. Starting with the way everything is laid out. This restuarant listed many different styles of nachos. Yet, the meal that I wanted to order didn't/wasn't worded in a way that I was ordering nachos with fajita meat. I was worded more like you were ordering fajitas.

Example...... Fajitas: Chicken, Beef; Large (price) or Small (price) Nachos. I ordered what I thought was a small combonation fajitas. I told the waiter I wanted a small fajita. The waiter said okay and that was that. He didn't say a thing about my order being a 1 size order.

Later at the counter I brought up the price of my meal was $4 more that what I ordered. I tried discussing it while the waiter was there. The waiter got an attitude, then I was getting upset, overall I ended up talking to the manager. The manager then blamed me for not reading the whole menu.

Overall the food was okay. It was pricey. I would not go back. Yet if you choose to go, read the menu real well.

I just love La Bodega! I am always impressed by them! Can't get enough of the Sangria Swirls and the nachos!

I love the music and atmosphere of La Bodega. It's a nice little place. We live nearby so it's one of our favorite restaurants to eat at.

I always enjoy going to La Bodega. We have had good, friendly service each time and I love their food. I am especially a fan of their soups.

The Chili Rellenos are my absolutely favorite thing on the menu. I have been going there for years and I always get the same thing. Great service, tasty food.

When I'm craving mexican food, this is always the place I go. It's a great value, you get so much food. The staff is friendly and it's a nice, relaxing place.

La Bodega has the best Mexican food in Midland. I always get the Chicken Chile Relleno. Not only is the food delicious, I love the ambiance, it's warm and inviting and the staff is so friendly.

I have been going to La Bodega for years. I try everything, their specials are always so delicious! Great service and great food, you can't beat that, and it keeps me coming back.
