Cuthbert is a beautiful venue...BUT and this is a huge BUT if your not in the position to spend an absolute fortune on your decorations you will not get anywhere close to what you want!! The head lady will look at you 'oh so sweetly' and tell you all about how she's here to make your special day the best day of your life and she's here for your happiness, as you sign their contract, but as soon as they have you legally bond with that outrageous contract (read it CAREFULLY) that 'oh so sweet' persona disappears and the true penny pinching, I am solely after your money and will bleed your dry, true personality of hers comes shining through. I'm sure if you have unlimited funds you will find this place wonderful, but if you have any sort of a budget this is NOT the place for you or you will end up with the bare minimum in decorations like I did. I still paid over $7,000 in venue rent and decorations alone and the decorations still weren't correct the day of my wedding!!

My daughter's wedding was held at the Cuthbert Mansion on June 19, 2010. It was truly amazing. The staff at the Mansion and Weddings By Design did a wonderful job and we couldn't have been more pleased. You know going in what is expected of you as well as them. I was more than willing to pay for the luxury of them taking care of all the decorations, flowers, etc. so we were able to just walk in. I have had several people tell me that attended the wedding how beautiful and elegant it was. We could not have done it without them. Thank you Pam, Vicky, Ron and the rest of your staff. Mallory's day was everything we imagined. Great job!!
