Michelin Tire Corporation founded more than 110 year ago, manufactures and sells tires for every type of vehicle, including airplanes, automobiles, bicycles, earthmovers, farm equipment, heavy-duty trucks, motorcycles and the space shuttle. Michelin also publishes 22 million maps and guides every year. Its products are sold under a variety of brand names, including Uniroyal, BF Goodrich, Taurus, Riken and Kleber. Michelin has global headquarters in Clermont-Ferrand, France, and has a sales network that covers more than 170 countries throughout the world. It has manufacturing facilities in nearly every continent in the world, including a passenger car/light truck tire plant in Dothan, Ala.
