I wanted to make reservations for a graduation celebration on a Saturday night for a party of four. The person I spoke with on the phone at Amici in Middletown said they only make reservations for parties of six or more and to call the day before. I have an elderly woman with bad knees and a pregnant woman in my party so waiting on a busy Saturday night won't work. You just lost my business and any future referrals for bad customer service. I'll go elsewhere. Too bad.

poor poor service!

I went to dinner here with my girlfriend on a sat night recently. The wait was only 30 min...not too bad. When we were seated in the corner booth about 30 min went by with no server coming to the table. A server from outside noticed that we had been sitting there for sometime. He came over and asked if anyone had been to take our drink orders...i replyed no we've been sitting here for 30 min. Our orders were placed and the food was ok. Ive been here before and never had this happen...maybe it was an isolated incident, but i have not been back since.

I used to love Amici, until on...

I used to love Amici, until one day I took my mom there, I wanted her to try the place, it started out good, but as my mom started eating, 1/2 way through, she looks down and found a Roach !!! 15 mins. later the manager came out and offered us a free desert. He was crazy to think we would actually want anything else from that kitchen. I couldn't even look at my food after that incident. He finally said the meals were compped. I differently wouldn't have pay for that. I never returned there and I hope anyone who is planning to go there, keep an eye out for extra seasoning!!!

My Review

This restaurant is fairly new (opened less than a year ago). The food was fantastic! For a dinner for two which includes beverages, 2 appetizers, main course and 2 desserts, it came to $75. The fried calamari was very good! I had a lobster risotto meal, and it was delicious! I would definately order it again. I had creme brulee for dessert, but it was served in 4 small ceramic dishes, each with a different flavor (I remember one was a champagne flavor and one was a Godiva white chocolate). The seating was very comfortable, and the colors and decor were very nicely done inside. It is my understanding this is gay owned/operated restaurant. Good for them! They did a great job!
