Max Gerson founded Gerson & Gerson, the parent company of Bonnie Jean, in 1935. Gerson & Gerson began distributing its dresses to department stores under the trademark Bonnie Jean in 1970. Under the Bonnie Jean label, the company began to enjoy growth in the traditional, moderately priced market. Along with its customers, the company remains loyal to the notion that contemporary styling can be tasteful, age appropriate and feminine. Located in Middlesex, N.C., Gerson & Gerson remains a family business.
