Dr. Jenling James Chen had been a doctor for many years when he founded Chen Neighborhood Medical Centers and JenCare Neighborhood Medical Centers. Inspired by his own experience with life-threatening illness, he set out to offer superior health care with a difference.

Dr. Chen is a cancer survivor. When he was diagnosed with cancer eight years ago and told he had only two months to live, he went through rigorous medical treatment. Because of that experience, he knows what its like to be on the other side of the glass door. Dr. Chen realized that health care facilities should be staffed with people who treat patients with dignity and respect.

Chen Neighborhood Medical Centers believes that every person deserves the highest quality health care. That is why Dr. James Chen developed an advanced primary and multi-specialty practice that offers quality care, the best medicine and advanced technology all with compassion and sensitivity. ChenMed patients see their own doctor every time. Whether they come in for a scheduled visit or as a walk-in, their primary care physician stays the same. Our primary care doctors have the best diagnostic equipment available so that EKGs, lab work, ultrasounds and other tests can be performed on the spot.

In the event a specialist is needed, we bring them to the patient, and monitor the outcome of the visit and stay with them every step of the way. We provide acupuncture services on site as well. We have taken great steps to anticipate the needs of our patients and to offer services that make health care as easy as possible.
