This employment agency was very understanding in helping me find a new employment opportunity that best tailors my skills and the salary that I wanted.

The woman from Careerxchange called me to discuss an open position. She said she found my resume online. We talked, she liked my experience and qualifications and when I thought she would schedule an interview with the employer, she wanted to skype with me any time that week. It was a surprise because there was nothing else to talk about, and to SKYPE either...!? The next day she emailed me documents to be filled out prior to our Skype date. It was the regular agency application, copy of 2 IDs, and I-9 not from the prospective employer, but from Careerxchange. The position was direct hire, so there was no need to fill out I-9. I emailed back and said I do not feel comfortable giving my SSN and ID info before an employment offer, over a phone conversation. She replied she had to e-verify me before presenting me to the employer. I sent her a link from uscis.gov that an employer can NOT use I-9 and e-verify to pre-screen applicants and IF she still wanted to SKYPE, I was available. She had NEVER returned. It looks like scam to me, does not it?

The recruiter took the time to find out what was important to me in my job search. A few days later I went to two different interviews and I was placed in a company with great growth potential!
