This company left an unpermitted dumpster blocking a driveway on a busy street. The dumpster has not been picked up, though full and people have been climbing in and out of it to look for stuff in the dumpster. When I called the company to complain the receptionist said "We'll pick it up sometime soon, baby" and when I asked "when?" the person only repeated "sometime soon."

I encourage this company to promote customer service and respect. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Their business literally stinks.

Back in December they completely skipped over my families trash. We were a little annoyed because how much money we pay but out can wasn't completely full so we still had room but we put in a complaint form just to have it on record. Yesterday it happened again but this time our can was filled to the brim so we wrote another complaint form and they said they would send someone out to pick it up. Come the end of the day no one had come to pick it up and come morning we complained again they a few hours later claimed they came and picked it up this morning so I went out and took a picture and sent it in because they hadn't. Then we find out the driver was a complete idiot and apparently was going to the wrong address. WTF people. I have never had so poor service with any garbage company before

I've worked in 47 states, using portable restrooms in each one. This one is by far the worst. No recommendations. Poor quality.

I had a similar situation, but...

I had a similar situation, but mine was the other way around. My business was with River Parish for 12 years and was trying to save some money so I called around and W.M. gave me what I thought was a sweetheart deal of a price, after waiting for my contract to come up with River Parish I switched then the back end charges started. Fuel, administration fees, environmental charges, delivery and other things. I was paying at the end of this term $163 more than I was paying with River Parish a month. All the stuff was in the fine print of the agreement and I just never took the time to read it, I got out of the contract after I waited till the term was up and now I'm back with R.P.D. I am willing to pay a little more on the front end to get good service and know what I'm paying every month. Unless something crazy happens I will always have River Parish Disposal at my restaurant. They always take care of me in a timely manner and if I have a problem I call over there and talk to them and it gets resolved. W.M. had me talking to people in Delaware and then Memphis, trust me their not coming to eat at my place anytime soon. The grass isn't always greener on the other side my friends. My advice is know what your signing before you sign it and every few years check around to keep the competitiveness going, I do that will all my vendors.

ATTENTION CONSUMERS: This comp...

ATTENTION CONSUMERS: This company comes off as a dependable "family-own and operated" business for the past 25 years, but the truth is they are a scam. If you want to get ripped off, sign on the dotted line with them. If you do your research, the present rates they are charging their clients are significantly higher than other disposal companies in the New Orleans area. When we say higher, we don't mean just $10 to $20 higher. Also, you have to sign an annual contract with them that forbids you to go with other companies (even if you find a better rate). This is not something new, but if you look very closely in their contracts, there are discrepancies that will automatically renew your contract if you do not contact them within a certain time period. When our company told them we would NOT be renewing our contract with them, they tried to get us to tell them which company we were leaving them for so they could match the rate. We told them they should know WHO THEIR COMPETITORS ARE and asking a question like that only shows you how imcompetant a business they are running. So after they kept calling and harassing us on a daily basis to get this information, their "President" comes up with another niffy idea: Draw up a fake contract stating our business broke our contract with them. In this fake contract, we have to pay thousands of dollars in penalties! And here's the funny part, after telling them we were NOT going to play along with their scam, they said they would not remove their dumpster until we paid them their scam fee. They said if we damage or remove their dumpster, we would have to pay for those damages or removal fees ourselves - even though we wrote them numerous notices telling them to remove it in the coming months and on a certain day. How original, huh? As you can see, is this really a company you want to affiliate your company with? No way. Is this a company worth the hassle to begin with? No way. Trust me, most disposal companies really are "trash" and "junk" to begin with, but River Parish is a full-blown scam of a company so we would strongly urge all consumers to avoid at all costs. They're probably going to read this review and find a way to remove it, but the consumer always wins and this message WILL re-appear again if removed b/c no consumer deserves to be ripped off by any business organization.
