Everyone is awesome and very friendly. They work so well with the kids no matter what age they are and I would definitely recommend this place!

This is a company run by people with absolutely no integrity and zero commitment to delivering great customer service to their clients. I purchased a Groupon for my son and it's been a nightmare. Before even completing half of the classes we already paid for, I am being billed for the next 2 months. They refused to cancel the subscription without 2 months payments for future services. Long story short, they are now wrongfully trying to collect a YEARS worth of future, unused, unwanted classes. $1500 to be exact. My Groupon was $20 and never fulfilled. We went to 3 classes. It is so disturbing to see this from a business, let alone one that works so closely with young kids who trust them. I would never let me child attend this school for any reason. CHECK REVIEWS ON OTHER SITES. SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS EXACT EXPERIENCE. I WILL be reporting to the BBB. Customers BEWARE. I should have done more research on this company and could have saved myself this major inconvenience

I just started lessons at this dojo, and I have never felt more welcome starting a new program as I have felt here. The people here are very helpful and truly care about their students as well as what they are teaching. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wishes to learn this art.

No place or situation is perfect, but this place is definitely on another level than other dojos I went to see. I looked for a place to train before finding this school. But, I quickly became tired of "McDojos." You know what I mean, those places that seem to spring up overnight offering whatever is cool at the time. Right now, it's MMA. It's pay your fees and you get belts thrown at you (or your kids). By the way, if you want your kid to learn discipline and confidence because they can beat up another kid a la MMA style, then this is definitely NOT your school. This dojo focuses on blending with your opponent and using his/her negative energy against them in SELF-DEFENSE, with the option of NOT permanently damaging another person. If learning to hurt others for no reason is your thing, then again this is NOT your place.

In conclusion, the only thing I can suggest is to check the dojo out yourself. Only you will know what works for you.

Since I became a student of Budo Shingikan School of Japanese Martial Arts almost a year ago, it has become a second home for me. I've met some of the most amazing people and made great friends within the Budo Shingikan family. I couldn't be more amazed at what I've accomplished! I am back in shape and feeling great. I've had lots of fun learning and helping teach lower ranks and encouraging those around me. The kids classes are a blast. Not only do I get to help them, I get to watch them grow to be more confident and respectful.

I could go on but, don't just take my word for it... you have to try for yourself.

D'Antonoli Sensei is the most dedicated, talented and encouraging teacher. He is always accessible and answers all our questions. I hope he knows how much we appreciate his dedication & passion he has for the students.

The Budo Shingikan School of J...

The Budo Shingikan School of Japanese Martial Arts is a Dojo much like I had gone to when I started my Martial Arts Experience in 1965. This Dojo is a very traditional Japanese style school where the student is the apprentice and the Instructors are the Craftsman. But it is more than just the Kancho (Head of the School) or His Instructor’s (Sensei) that instructs the new students … it is done as a community where all of the higher students help the newer students. This makes all the training more personal and gives even more family /camaraderie feel to the training. Their Dojo is very reasonably priced because of this extended family atmosphere of passing on new skills to each member instead of a money making business. After all - to do Akido or Jujitsu properly and safely one has to have a lot of two way trust going.
