I have an older model 15hp evinrude outboard that has been in more than I shop east of gilbert rd on main street and runs when I pick it up but dies when on the lake. Martin marine took the time to listen and proceeded to replace the cork float in the carb and replaced the driver coil which eliminated all the issues. Do I recommend Martin Marine? In a heart beat, if you want your motor fixed give them time to fix it and they will fix it. A shop with the know how to eliminate problems.

labor time seems to be high, quality of work was not the best. i feel like i was cheated on a replacement part. I had teken my boat to Martin 3 times over the course of a few years and I have never had excellent service. I was over quoted on a couple repairs by several hours, for example i was quoted 8 hours of labor to replace the float in the gas tank. It took less than 2 hours to finish. A previous year I had a leaky exhaust manifold on only one side. I paid $1200 including a new manifold and labor. The boat had never over heated and I have never heard of anyone in Phoenix having a cracks from a AZ freeze. this year the other manifold started to leak, Bergeron fixed it with a $5 brass plug. they told me Mercruiser had plastic plugs on the exhaust manifolds for a few years. Earlier Martin forgot to put my bimini top back on the boat when i picked up one time they would not deliver the top to me forcing me to drive across town to retrieve it, but the staff is nice!
