My review of Good Works Counseling deals with my experience with Joy Smith. My wife and I went to her with the idea that she would be able to help us with our issues. Instead, it turned into dealing with a bitter person named Joy Smith. If you gave an alternative answer to what she was looking for, she became visibly upset. If you criticized her hero, Donald Trump, she became very upset. She could not keep her schedule straight at all; as I was supposed to have a couple of sessions with her and she had the dates wrong. We tried to do a session using Google Duo and she became visibly upset with my children in the background even though I tried to focus in on the session. Then, her card reader did not work and that was not my fault, but when we asked how we were going to be able to pay, she simply cut us off with a "I wish you the very best." All we were asking was if we were going to be able to fix the payment system. By the way, I did have proper payment and never skipped on the payment. She simply could not figure out her own card reader. So instead of solving the problem, she simply dumped me as a patient. Basically, if you are not a client that says everything that she agrees with, then you are not for her. She is also a very poor listener. I would not recommend her to anyone. If you do go to her, I warn you to stay away from any criticism of Trump and you better just agree with everything that she says if you are going to survive any therapy from her.

Great place to get help for Bible based counseling. Very refreshing to hear God's word.
