Southwick's Zoo is a privately owned facility that offers an extensive zoological collection for visitors. The zoo is inhabited by more than 450 wild animals of several species including endangered and rare ones. It also provides opportunities for camel, pony and elephant rides, as well as carousel, rodeo and train rides. The zoo offers explorations through natural wetlands that provide a glimpse of native wildlife, such as deer, blue herons, swans, North American Elks, painted turtles and red-tail hawks. Southwick s Zoo also houses a variety of exotic birds from around the world. Additionally, it offers its facility for hosting birthday parties, corporate events and outings. Southwick s Zoo is located in Mendon, Mass.
