Established in 2002, KIPP DIAMOND Academy offers learning programs to more than 300 students in grades five through eight. The academy s curriculum includes math, language arts, social studies, science and health. It also provides foreign language classes in Spanish. The school provides special classes in physical education and orchestra. KIPP DIAMOND Academy maintains a parent-teacher association. Located in Memphis, Tenn., the academy is a part of KIPP, which offers college-preparatory educational services to more than 16,000 students. KIPP, founded in 1994, maintains over 60 schools, including Freedom Academy Charter School, KIPP 3D Academy, KIPP Aspire Academy and KIPP Houston High School throughout the United States.
