C & K Market owns the Ray s Food Place chain of conventional, full service stores, several Shop Smart stores and several Price Less Foods stores located in the Northwest United States. Ray s Food Place is a grocery store chain and Shop Smart and Price Less Foods operate in the 'box store' or warehouse format. C & K's revenues are comprised of 66 percent grocery, 15 percent meat, 9 percent produce, 5 percent bakery/deli and 5 percent other. Its stores offer a wide variety of canned goods, grocery products, health and beauty aids, liquor, paper products, produce, dairy and meat. Larger stores carry other accessory departments, such as bakery, deli and espresso bar, video, pharmacy and/or bank. The Company s merchandise includes Western Family private label brand, one of the largest private label programs in the United States. The company was incorporated in 1969 and is located in Brookings, Ore.
