We visited the toddler and primary classrooms, and were absolutely impressed. It is a planned and self-paced environment with Montessori classroom materials to inspire and develop the joy of learning in kids. In addition, extra-curricular activities and an indoor gym to keep kids happy and active. The teachers are caring, and dedicated to preparing the children for elementary school.

Since your child attended MAW, things have changed immensely. We have hired two Montessori certified Primary teachers with over three years' experience as lead Montessori teachers and over five years' experience in Montessori environments. Each teacher has a different personality to help fit each child's emotional intelligence. We have also hired two new Toddler teachers. One has three years' experience working in a Montessori school and the other is currently going to training and is wonderful with children and families.

We are also under new management. Ms. Christina, the new Director, comes to us with her Montessori Certification, her degree in Early Childhood Development, her Bachelor's degree in Management/International Business and a Masters in Human Resources. She taught for five years in a Montessori School in California, was an Assistant Director for three years and the Director of a brand new Montessori School in Fountain Valley, California for eight years. Ms. Christina has a passion for children and a drive to create an environment that helps children create a love for learning that lasts them a lifetime!

We moved our daughter, 2 years old, to MAW in November 2014. We moved her from a very reputable daycare in the area and it was just that, a daycare. Since moving our daughter to MAW, she has made great strides as Montessori Academy at Westridge. As a teacher within FISD, MAW's curriculum is spot on with cognitive abilities and also exposes the children to the Montessori teachings every step of the way. Ms. Christina and Ms. Ashton, the directors have done a phenomenal job turning around what seems to have been a "declining" school. I am all about reviews and reading them, but once you step foot in to the building, you will understand why you will want your child to attend this school. We could not be happier than we are at MAW and I wish I had checked it out sooner.

Our son loves going to "school". He has learned a lot and I am impressed with what he can do. The staff is great, all the teachers acknowledge my son when they walk by him. They offer extra activities and have a lot of events. They also offer Parent Night Out once a month. When we first moved here we took my son to Kids R Kids down the road and that did not go well at all. I am glad we found the Montessori Academy at Westridge!

I would NOT recommend this school to anyone. My rating is actually zero stars but apparently you have to at least give a business a one star rating. Parents please think twice about enrolling your child here. I'm so glad my child does not go there anymore.

If you are looking for a Daycare, this is your place. Everything screams daycare, including the way the building smells. If you are looking for a true Montessori Primary teacher, look elsewhere. The teacher we had has been published, instructs other Montessori teachers...but she can NOT apply it to the classroom. She has lost her patience with the kids and yells and pushes the kids. She prefer to teach older children and you can tell that in her every move. Clearly she needs to think about her purpose and the damage she is doing to the young children. Please think about the well being of your child before you place them in this environment!

My child has gone to Montessori Academy at Westridge for about 2 1/2 years and she has blossomed, The Montessori teaching method has reinforced my child's independence and social skills. I credit my child's toddler teachers () and the school's principal of informing me and my husband concerning my child's language problems so we can arrange for ECI to help our child. The owners, principal and the teachers of MAW are also open to any suggestions and will work on solving any concerns and problems brought about by each parent. Of course, parents also have to be willing to listen to their suggestions because in the end, MAW is really concerned about your child.

I searched for an authentic Montessori school in the area after relocating. My children came from an A rated Montessori school and were able blend right in. Their academic and social skills just grew as if they were in their old school. This meant a great deal to me as I myself was a Montessori child. Teachers and Administrative staff are always pleasant and helpful. My children love going to school everyday.
