My wife and I were in need of a new vacuum and rather than going through the same process of buying a regular Hoover vac that breaks in 3-4 years at Sears or Costco and sending our dollars out of the county, we decided to look for something better and buy local. We found both at Sew and Vac and after months of using the new vacuum we are thrilled. We found the owner to be incredibly knowledgable. "Old School" knowledgable if you will in a way only an owner/operator with decades of experience can be. If you young folks want the experience of shopping how America used to shop before discount box stores changed our purchasing expectations, go to Sew & Vac. Expect to pay more for your vacuum but know that if it ever needs service, you can take it to the actual store you bought it at and the guy who sold it to you will be the one who fixes it. Another thing you will have to get used to... owning the same vacuum cleaner for about 10-15 years. Yep, they are that much better.

He jerked me around for about a month concerning ordering a part for my under warranty vacuum that I bought on Amazon. First he said he could get the part at the end of the following week. After that time passed, I stopped by and he told me he needed the model number of the vacuum. I called him back with that information. After a week, I called him again, he told me that there were two hose types and could he get the model number on the hose. I gave it to him and waited a week before stopping by. When I stopped by, he told me it was on backorder and didn't know when he could get it. I called again after two weeks and he told me it was in. He had my phone number, I don't understand why he couldn't communicate with me about this. Very poor communication.
