People need to get over themselves. Goodwill is a charity thrift store. It is what it is. You buy the stuff to support their charitable cause. It ain't supposed to be Saks Fifth Avenue, for pete sake. I usually go to Goodwill once every week or two, buy some stuff, take it home, wrap it up, put it in a box and then donate it back when the box is full. So lighten up.

People working there stealing all the good stuff and raising the prices on the junk to make up for it. They price items cheap and then have their friends and family come in to purchase items after they place the items on the floor in hidden places. I have seen this on a few occasions.

I go to many other Goodwill stores and this is the worst.

I have been going to goodwill since they opened and the store employes were always very friendly until yesterday the boy/man cashier double charged me i came back in pointed it out he told me to bring all the stuff back in so they could go through the bag than i have to wait in line again while other employees are playing by the furniture the guy was very rude to me i wont donate to them anymore or go back there to shop thats what you get when hire children that need supervision and taught some good customer service

I've been to several Goodwill stores and this is a very nice one. It is clean and well organized and you never know what you might find there. Give it a try.

Goodwill McHenry is typically ...

Goodwill McHenry is typically picked over due to high customer traffic. I skip it in favor of other local thrift stores like Salvation Army or Sparrow's Nest. More importantly, management here is truly awful. Their employee turn-over rate is high and morale is lower than dirt. I don't give them any of my business just because I feel so sorry for the folks that work there.

Just to be clear, I have worked at several Goodwill branches. McHenry is, luckily, an exception to an otherwise wonderful company.
