Dr. Makarita has 28 years of experience in General Dentistry in Northern Virginia with a focus on high quality Aesthetic Reconstructive Dentistry. He believes strongly in continuing education and is committed to keeping up with the latest techniques , materials and technology to provide his patients with exceptional dentistry. He is among an elite group of dentists who have achieved Fellowship status in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry which is the highest level of achievement recognized by the America Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Currently, he is the only Accredited Fellow in the State of Virginia. He is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, a Master in the International Congress for Oral Implantologists and a Master at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, where he is an instructor. He is also a board member of the International Association for Physiologic Aesthetics. Dr. Makarita won numerous AACD Smile Gallery awards and was the recipient of People's Choice Award at the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry annual session. Dr. Makarita was named among Top Dentists in the Washingtonian and Northern Virginia magazines for several years and is an national and international lecturer in the field of Aesthetic Reconstructive Dentistry, Occlusion Physiologic Based Dentistry and TMJ dosorders.His cosmetic dentistry was featured twice on the cover of the prestigious Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry and he has published several clinical articles related to the field of Aesthetic Dentistry, Occlusion, Practice Management and Dental Photography.Dr. Makarita believes in individualized care and attention for his patients and therefore he will not double book patients unless there is an emergency.
