I had an MRI here to check out what was wrong with my knee. During my stay the staff were extremely nice, and the atmosphere and facility were great!

I had surgery with an in patient stay at this facility in July 2015. This facility if very clean and kept. The staff from business office, registration, and nurses all are very knowledgeable and compassionate about the service they provide to the community. I had a great experience.

Last month I went for an out-patient surgery and had a great experience with the staff – registration, nurses, and doctors. The facility is well-maintained. Awesome service!

I went in for an appendectomy. I was released and couldn't seem to recover. A week later I went to the ER at another hospital and was admitted immediately. A quart of fluid was removed from around my lungs. I spent 6 days in the hospital recovering. If I had not gone to the ER when I did, my lung function would have been permanently diminished.

Our experience at the hospital was mixed with one alarming exception. We brought xRay films with us to the hospital and placed them in the staff's hands with a clear understanding that we needed them back. Not only did the hospital lose our films but they lost all of the films taken during the stay. The responsible care and protection of healthcare records is a paramount responsibility of a facility. Methodist of McKinney clearly demonstrated a careless irresponsible regard for patient records. This should be cause for alarm and extreme caution.

We came to Methodist Mckinney for surgery, and left with MRSA Staph Infection. Three surgeries, and thousands of dollars later the foot is worse of than before the original surgery. The Methodist Hospital president just responded with a statement the pretty much said "go pound sand"! Beware of this MRSA spreading facility. It may be new, but Hospital MRSA Staph Infection does not care about new. They obviously do not have proper procedures in place to prepare for a surgery. Beware as you may also be a vicitm and this stuff can KILL YOU!

The precertification/billing office is terrible. I asked before my procedure what my out of pocket payment would be. I wanted to know so I could comparison shop if necessary. The woman in the billing/prequalification office assured me that the cost of my ultrasound was covered 100% by my insurance and I would have to pay no money out of pocket. I went in for my appointment and they again said it was covered and I owed nothing. So, imagine my surprise when I saw on my insurance EOB that it was NOT covered 100% and then Methodist McKinney billed me for the balance. I contacted my insurance company and they said Methodist McKinney's billing office must have made a mistake. So......now I'm having to pay them out of pocket. I feel like a victim of a bait-and-switch scheme. Yes, it was my own fault......I foolishly believed Methodist McKinney knew what they were talking about (twice!). I will go elsewhere for all future items.
