During an emergency visit during my wife's pregnancy, the OB they called in was horrible, it took us half an hour to get signed in (although on their investigation they said it took 4 minutes), the OB was incredibly rough, and they made an error on the tests, so all we left with was the advice to see our regular doctor and the tears from my wife. The investigation into that night was completely ignorant and only took into consideration the opinions of the staff (which shockingly said the care was adequate). They also failed to ever contact us in order to inform us of the results of the investigation. By the way, when we did get home to see our regular doctor, she performed the same tests very comfortably and was able to get results. I have heard other incredibly poor references regarding the level of care at Hess Memorial/Mile Bluff Medical Center and will never go there again. It is well worth the drive to Madison to get appropriate and professional health care. I strongly suggest people to avoid Hess/Mile Bluff.
