I would so give this place a zero if I could! Yesterday my boyfriend & I decided to grab a late lunch there. My boyfriend asked for a classic hot dog, no mustard just cheese and Cajun French fries. I asked for the new Cajun hotdog and Cajun French fries. Our food came out cold and completely messed up, but it wasn't the kitchens fault our waitress had failed to write it down correctly on the ticket which she never read back to us. My boyfriends plate consisted of a hot dog with mustard and cheese(with a hair in it!!) and parmasesn French fries and mine consisted of regular French fries and the one and only thing they got right ( my Cajun dog). I've worked in the restaurant business for years, and my parents own a restaurant so I was pretty understanding and we nicely told the waitress our order was wrong. It took her five minutes to bring it back to the kitchen and once she did they made my boyfriend a new hotdog and they POURED Cajun on our already cold fries. When I say poured I mean I'm pretty sure they used a whole can. I wanted to puke it was disgusting. The whole time the staff was rude to us. Never once did the waitress apologize.I will not return to this steak n shake.

Went with friends many times. Never had problems until recently. Wanted more coffee and one of us got a half cup. Later another got a cup. Upon making it known we had not received coffee, a waitress came to us yelling how rude we were and if we had a problem with her to tell her. We had told her and got nowhere as she continued to yell at us. The acting manager was no help as he just hung his head. He did not try to get her to stop or remove her. After friends spoke to main manager the next day, we agreed to come back. Well we did and there was the waitress flitting around us like ha ha got away with it. Will not be back when she is there and will walk out if she is. May be a long time till then though. Guess they don't care what there employees do to customers. Also observed her being sarcastic to an elderly couple as their eggs were hard when they told her about it. Never offered to get another order just said she would tell the cook.
