You would think that people who do grooming would be kind and loving people? This is not the case at this place. They have no customer service skills nor do they have allegiance to repeat customers.

I know three people who have used this place and all said the same thing. They are so nasty! one woman had to bring her husband because she couldn't deal with how disrespectful they are.

Don't bother asking for the owner as she is the one that promotes this negative atmosphere!

I love Hair of the Dog SPA. I have been bring my dogs since they first opened. Dogs are happy there and look and smell so good when I pick them up. Can't imagine taking them anywhere else. What a great place. My dogs are a shedding breed and tend to shed a lot. They hand dry the dogs and it blows out all the undercoat. I like the fact that the dogs don't have to sit in a hot crate. Not a lot of hair in my house. Love that!

First and most importantly, Hair of the Dog has moved to 1 Ravine Dr. in Matawan. They are across the street from the Bank of America parking lot. I have to say that Dawn and her staff have been grooming my Shih Tzu Lily since she was only 3 mos old and they have been doing an amazing job! Dawn is the owner and ALWAYS makes sure her customer s are happy. Lily goes for daycare during the week and gets a bath every Thursday. Lily loves spending the day there and plays so much that she sleeps the entire next day because she s so tired from playing. Thank you Dawn, you are a life saver. Don t hesitate to take your dog to Hair of the Dog. It s truly the best spa experience for your dog.
