Beware this seems like a scam! We viewed a rental home with Jake last Thursday (3/22/18) (Marysville near golf course) and loved it. We applied Sunday online and paid $80 for an application fee but it was never ran. Our references, landlords and employers were never called and our credit was not checked as we get alerts on an app when our credit is checked. After we applied our phone calls and emails were not answered. We had a rental offer from another landlord and had been frantically trying to email and call Jake to see if we were close to an answer because we preferred the larger home Jake showed us. On Tuesday, after several friends and co-workers suggested this was a scam, we finally reached Jake on Facebook and gout a response that the applications hadn't been processed yet but they would start them.... ??? So, we called the other landlord who had offered us the smaller home but it was too late. She had rented the home. It's Friday now, a full work week had passed and in checking with our employers, references and landlord... Jake, Zati Reality or anyone else had called for a rental application check. Emails and phone calls unanswered again. We applied to another home and have been offered to walk through and rent this one from a landlord who actually did process our application. Messaged Jake on Facebook and asked for our application fees refunded as they were never processed. He refused a refund and admitted they were very short staffed and hadn't processed our application but were planning to call our employers tomorrow (Saturday). It's Easter weekend and spring break... our employers are closed for a week. We would like the $80 we paid for application fees refunded as our application has been cancelled and had not been processed by his own admission. This company takes application fees and does not process the applications and refuses refunds. Beware.. do not try to rent here or list a rental home here. I'd hate this to happen to anyone else.
