This morning my sister’s dog was attacked while she was at the store. Came home to find her sweet dog of 10 years lying on the ground covered in her own blood and bleeding out. Family called me to ask who to call and what to do. Blumhorst Veterinary Hospital, naturally you were the first call. You REFUSED to even look at this poor dying animal because you wanted money up front. That’s honestly disgusting to me. And I’m sure that anyone who loves their animals would agree. Is that what your values are? Is that your level of ethics? I’m completely disappointed and disgusted that I even have to write this. Thankfully Saline County Veterinary Service puts lives of animals over immediate payment. Everyone at Blumhorst Veterinary Hospital should all be ashamed of yourselves. Thanks to you she continued to bleed out and now may not make it. Thanks a lot.

If I could give this place a zero, I would! Horrid pictures of a spay they did. Just awful. I will be sending these pictures to the local county office and also the State. Luckily another veterinarian was found that helped that poor dog.

Had been to a couple of other veterinarians over the years. That was until I found Blumhorst Veterinary Hospital. Tom, Jeremy, Christie, Pam and the entire staff show so much kindness for the animals and the pet owner. You are NOT just a number to this staff. They genuinely care about you and the health of your pet. I would never recommend anyone else!

The BEST clinic I've ever been to! The staff is excellent, friendly and Dr. Jeremy treats my animals like his own! I've even called after hours and received a prompt call back! I'll never go anywhere else!

Wonderful Vet clinic! Easy to get in for an appointment, the staff is friendly and welcoming to the pets and customers alike, and Dr. Blumhorst is very kind and thorough. We will definitely be going back.

Not a Vet for Dobermans!!!

Outrageous about what he did to our sire, he ruined his ear with a 1/4 inch piece of ear missing from not properly taping, he taped too tight and it cut off blood flow to that part of ear, so it was dead meat, missing 1/4 inch size hole!! Now we find out he is telling his clients about our personal and finantional information, we are filing a claim with, Missouri Veterinary Medical Board, located in Jefferson City, MO

Dr Blumhorst is telling other clients yours and your pets personal info...

We found out through one of our puppy buyers, that when she went there that he had told her how much we owe and our personal information???? What??? That was supposed to be squashed because of how he messed up our stud dog!! We had a dispute on our Dobermans ear that he did, and to this day after 2 surgeries our Dobbie still has a 1/4 inch nick out of the top of his ear, witch he caused by taping ear too tight to were it cut off blood circulation, we called and reported a fowl smell, and took him in and true enough, part of his ear came off when they started taking tape off. He's rude to women, but not to a man!! Don't have them do your Doberman ears! And if you do, make sure you get a receipt PAID IN FULL!!!
