If no stars was an option I'd have given it as a rating .. On 2-27-15 I brought my 80 yr old mom to ER @3pm at 10pm they told us there was nothing they could do for her and wanted to transfer her to ft Wayne ! That was at 10pmat 12:40 am the emt showed up to do the transfer my mom couldn't lay down because she couldn't move her neck had severe pain and sat in a lil room in ER for 9 hrs and 40 mins !!! I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone on staff as to what her prognosis was or whether or not she'd be admitted ! No one seemed to know what was going on ! They said she needed a neurologist ! They don't have one so sent her to ft Wayne ... Long story short doctors in ft Wayne were perplexed as to why they sent her there ... Never saw a neurologist didn't need one turned out to be arthritis in her neck !! Don't go to this hospital save yourself some grief and make a longer drive to Huntington or Wabash

don t go there if you are expecting any treatment for a existing condition.I have chronic pain due to acute osteo arthritsis as diagnosed by 3 x-rays taken at the hospital. Not being able to work , I came into the er for pain relief. I have an appointment pending with a local surgeon to have a hip replacement done on june 26th. I was in the er on the 12 th of june and was given 3 days of pain medication to last me until the 26th. er nurse told me if I had any more pain to follow up with my family physican who refused to give me any narcotic medication because the medication she did prescribe did not work. I went to the surgeon made my appt for the 26 th and was told he coulldn t prescribe anything until he saw me. so on the 14th of june I went back to the er for severe pain in my hip. The doctor made me feel uncomfortable with his conduct stating he could not prescribe any more of the medication he prescribed 3 days ago. I understand if that is a policy but what I din t understand is I was not asking for pain management just treatment until I was worked in to see my surgeon. Because I was not given any pain medication ,I couldn t work ,couldn t take my grandchildren on a cancer walk for a co workers sister age 10 who had just died of cancer and wasn t able to do some other things I had planned to do with my grandchildren who I take care of with my ex wife who has adopted them and has legal custody of.i feel I was teated unfairly and neglected which caused pain and suffering in my life as well as my grandchildrens life.Presently my surgeon is trying to work me in sooner and until then I can t do anything because I can barely stand.I am not a drug abuser as I feel I was treated I have a job and am raising 3 grandchildren and I need to be in the best physical condition to take care of these kids. I m a non smoker ,long distance runrer and I bicycle. I am healthy except for needing hip surgery and have no cartilage in my right knee diaginosed by the same surgeon.I am not happy about this thank you
