Horrible Customer Service

This bank offers horrible customer service, lies to customers, and charges outrageous interest rates. When I tried to ask them who to complain to because they had not released the title to my car, I was told I was rude and unprofessional by the president of the bank. She also told me that the insurance had been cancelled on the car, which it had not. We had received a notice that the insurance was not going to be renewed because the car was in both my son's name and mine and he had moved and reported a change of address. Since he no longer lived with me, the insurance company could not insure the car because it was in both of our names. I went in and paid the loan off a week before the insurance was up for renewal. I was told by the bank that they would let the county office know to release the lien on the car and it would be mailed to me shortly. I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the title; only to find out they had not even mailed the paperwork to get the title released. I've been waiting for three and a half weeks.



I am expected to just sit and wait for them to process the paperwork at their leisure but, when they received the notice from the car insurance stating the policy would not be renewed, I was immediately called by a vice president of the bank and harassed about the fact that they are the lien holder and what was I going to do to make sure they were covered. Then, after our phone call, where I assured him I would take care of it as soon as possible, he mailed me a letter saying he needed to talk to me concerning the insurance.



I understand this bank is locally owned. Maybe it's better to deal with a larger organization that understands how important customer service is to the local community. They offer the worst customer service I have ever experienced in a financial institution. The only reason we took the loan from this bank was because my son had already talked to them and we were in a hurry to buy the car. Never again will I do business with Heritage Bank. There are many other financial institutions in the area, please do your homework before doing business with this one.

This bank does not have a good customer service represenative. She was rude and threatened to call the cops after she failed to directly answer the question and lied. This bank needs better people running it.
