SIMPLY CHARMING NOT SO CHARMING!

I had a problem with some defective merchandise. I called the shop to tell them about the issue hoping they had another one. The owner told me if I wanted to get my money back, even though they had a no refund policy, I had to return it before Christmas even though that would be 50 miles one way. I asked if I could return it the next time I went through town on our way to our cabin in the U.P. She told me that I was awful demanding and that if I didn’t return it by the end of the year she would deduct a restocking fee. It wasn’t like she could restock the item due to it being defective. I told her if I had to make a special trip I was then returning all the merchandise I bought. She said that was fine because I had never spent any money in her store before that day anyway. I spent $100 in her store that day! She kept saying that the person who waited on me said I wasn't happy with my purchase that day anyway. I did hesitate when I was checking out due to the fact I had misread the price tag on one of my items and it was more than I had anticipated but I decide to go ahead with the purchase. I told the owner several times that was untrue but she acted like she didn't believe me. When I did return everything she wouldn't return cash to me as I had paid in cash - she wrote me a check - when I stated that I would really prefer cash she said "Now you are really making me angry" How Charming is that! Funny thing is I called to let her know about it and to see if they had another one like it - if not I was going to try to fix the scarf. I had no intentions of ever returning anything.
