I am wearing my grandmothers vintage blush wedding gown from 1957 for my wedding in June. It was *just* a little small in the back, and had hundreds of little buttons down the back that were so old they were falling off. My mom and I knew that we did not want the gown taken apart, but rather have the back of the gown converted into a lace-up back so that it would fit better and not ruin the dress!

A friend of a friend recommended us to Mrs. Kim, so we decided to take a leap of faith. We brought pictures of what we were thinking, as well as the fabric, thread, and other supplies needed to complete the job. She was so sweet and promised to take EXTREME care of the dress (We were so scared to leave it there!) She said in about 2 months it would be done, and it would cost $200. *Just FYI, her shop is very tiny! It may look messy and small but let me tell you, as someone who sews, she is absolutely fantastic.

For a little over a month I nervously waited, until we went in for a fitting. It was UNBELIEVABLE. I mean, it looked as if the dress had been made that way. It was EXPERT workmanship and absolutely perfectly done. I was so relieved and shocked, and forever grateful to Mrs. Kim for her labor of love! I ended up getting to take it home almost 3 weeks early!
