Recently had a Maytag microwave door stop latching. Had a buddy that does odds and ends look at it and he said it was probably the spring inside the door casing. I called Huntington to come out and look at it. He was polite and straight forward, however he had the folowing statements. This casing is tricky and sometimes they break. Hopefully that doesn't happen otherwise it is another part that we have to order. He did remove the casing successfully and identified that the latch that HOLDS the spring was broken. He called in the part and they looked up the solution. It is a discontinued model (only 5 years old and bought at their store) and the only solution was a whole NEW door. Costs to me: 79.00 for service call, 20.00 at that point for labor. The new door would cost 161.00. So 260.00 for a repair and that doesn't include them coming out for more labor to install the new door. I would be well over 300.00 if that happened. Do yourselves a favor people...go to the manufacturer's website or call them with the model number or serial number first and they can save you at least the 99.00. I made that mistake and called Huntington first and Maytag second. I bought a new model that was under 300.00 and had my buddy put it in for 30.00 of labor for his work. I now have a bill for 104.00 to Huntington. That's right, you would think it should be 99.00. I called today and found out that I had a 5.00 charge on my bill for fuel that was NOT told to me initially. If you are NOT in Marengo, you will be charged a fuel cost. Disappointed to find this out after the fact. Did the tech do his job...yes, did the phone conversations go as planned.......yes, but beware of hidden costs and DO your research with the manufacturer first, it WILL save you a lot of money in the end.

Today I called Huntington because my side by side refrigerator quit working over the weekend. We assumed the control panel was blown and we would have to have someone replace it. Instead when I called this morning I was told, unplug it, wait 30 seconds, and replug it in. It works again!!! Apparently, sometimes it can be as simple as the equivalent "control, alt, delete". Huntington had a choice today...they could have come out here, charged me a couple hundred dollars, and I wouldn't have been the wiser. Instead they chose to have me try the simple & cheap fix first - no charge what so ever. It is so nice to still know there are reputable companies out there. I will definitely call them again if I have an issue with any of my other appliances. And I would recommend them to everyone I know without hesitation. Thanks Huntington!

Recently we had been having a problem with our dryer not working right. We contacted Huntington's to check it out and to see what the problem was. They sent out a great tech who went through everything to find the problem. When the tech left everything was working great again. I would recommend them to anyone who has a problem with any of their appliances. Great team working for this company.

A big thank you to Huntington Service for the prompt service on our washer and dryer. We have had our appliances for years and are so happy that they were able to service them and keep them in tip top shape. Their office staff is very polite and helpful. Thanks again.

You should not have "Service" in your name...because that's not what you do. You are reluctant to phone your customer when parts are in. If you get a busy signal, you just forget about them. You must be way too busy or just don't care.
