R. C. Haydon Elementary School, opened in 1979, was named for a lifelong resident and former superintendent of area schools. It has a staff of more than 75 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals. The school features a library, gymnasium, broadcast room, over 25 classrooms, and computer, science and math laboratories. R. C. Haydon Elementary School offers special programs in art, music, science, physical education, reading and math support, guidance, speech therapy, computer applications, and gifted and talented education. It has an annual enrollment of approximately 500 students in kindergarten through fourth grade. R. C. Haydon Elementary School is a part of Manassas City Public Schools and is located in Manassas, Va.
