It's about time we got a place in the immediate area where you can get something besides pizza, takeout Chinese, or standard subs. Open for about 3 weeks, we tried the Louisiana Cafe yesterday and were very impressed. The oyster/shrimp poboy was great and stuffed with plenty of the star attractions. Fried okra was fresh, crisp, and what you would expect from a good southern themed restaurant. We also had tater tots which were done right (i.e. fried crispy but, like the okra, not greasy). Interestingly, we somehow decided to order some chicken fingers and I can only say they were great - moist and clearly fresh. The portions are huge. Next time, we will try some of the Cajun entrees and I suspect they will be great as well.
