My husband and I and our 6 children decided to move the week of Thanksgiving 2009. We started on Tuesday On Thanksgiving Day we were sure that we were going to need some extra help, if we were to be done by Sunday. So, Thanksgiving Day I located L'Oasis Moving Company on the Internet. I called not expecting to get an answer. To my surprise, a very nice gentleman answered. He assured me that 2 movers would be at my home the following day at 12:30pm. The next day, 2 very courteous, polite, and efficient men were at my door right on time. They were ready to work and moved many different items from 3 levels very quickly and safely. They were amazingly fast and careful. They loaded the truck magnificantly and everything fit in one trip. They then followed us in their vehicle to our new home. They unloaded the truck as quickly and efficiently as they loaded it. I was paying them depending on how many hours they were with us, but they worked very quickly as if trying to save me money. Never once did they stand around and waste time. If I would have known how efficient they were, I would have had them move our entire house. I wasn't expecting such excellent work. If we ever move again (which I hope we never do) I will definitely call L'Oasis Moving Company. Even if we need some help redecorating and need furniture moved I would love to have L'Oasis help us again. Guys, keep up the great work, you can use me as a reference anytime.

Instead of going with one of the big moving companies this time, who charge too much and break lots of your stuff because they are in such a rush, I decided to do it myself, sort of. I ended up needing three 17' U-Haul truck loads to move the contents of my home to Haymarket, from an apartment in Centreville and a storage facility in Raleigh. For two of those trips I needed loading/unloading help in Virginia. On the U-Haul site I found links to movers. I read the on-line reviews, picked one (L'Oasis) and crossed my fingers. I decided to contact the company directly instead of using the U-Haul site to make the reservation. This was because with the U-Haul site I had to pay upfront, for the maximum number of hours that I thought I needed. By dealing directly with the movers I could pay when the job was completed, and only for the number of hours I ended up needing.



On the day of the first move, the two men from L'Oasis showed up, on-time, at the apartment in Centreville to help load the truck. I was very pleased with both of them. They started loading the truck right away, and were finished in about an hour and a half. Then they rode with me in the truck to Haymarket (30 minutes away). The unloading took about an hour, and then I drove them back to the apartment where they had left their car. I had offered to drive them out and back because I had to bring the truck back anyway, and I didn't see any reason for them to follow the truck out and back again.



I ended up paying them for a total of four hours, plus their fixed transportation fee. A pretty good deal, considering all of my possessions were moved with zero damage.



About a month later, I rented another truck for my last trip up from Raleigh. I called L'Oasis again and requested three men this time. That's because I had one very heavy piece that was too heavy for two men to handle safely. They showed up on-time again, and two of the men were the same ones who helped me move the other time. We had the truck unloaded in about 45 minutes, and everything was moved with zero damage once again. Even the very heavy piece. They had a three hour minimum, but I didn't mind. I saved thousands of dollars by using U-Haul and moving help over what I paid a number of years ago when I used one of those big moving companies for my move from VA to NC.



I will certainly call them next time I need moving help.

They were fantastic in every aspect. They arrived on time, were very professional, treated my belongings with absolute care, and were incredibly efficient. I will definitely use them again!!
