We have used the Magnolia, TX location of Keep in Touch Dry Cleaners many times in the last 2 yrs. Many times, we have sent cleaned items back to be re-pressed for wrinkles. Recently, we brought in six clothing items to be dry cleaned. We received a phone call that a Lacoste (IZOD) men's cotton button down shirt was torn at the crease of the collar after they had cleaned it. The shirt was a few years old, but did not have any holes or tears of any kind prior to bringing it to Keep in Touch Cleaners. When picking up the shirt, the store's dry cleaning tag was on the button hole and a piece of red tape was on the collar flagging the 5 inch tear. I spoke to a manager in person who called herself, KIM. She stated that she did not see it, but the shirt must have already been torn when it came in and that the shirt was not cleaned. The shirt has their blue tag on it indicating that they did indeed clean it and then noticed the new tear. She denied any responsibility for our clothing item in their care and proceeded to inform me about the little money they make on every shirt. Kim admitted that the blue paper tag was indeed their tag on my shirt. I would never take a torn shirt and paid money for it to be dry cleaned. Since we pre-paid, I had to actually ask for my dry cleaning fee of $1.30 back and then asked her if ten dollars compensation could be taken off of my bill since the shirt was unwearable. The shirt was $55 brand new. She refused. I am saddened that my husband cannot ever wear this shirt again and that the cleaners ruined it. They have lost a customer for life over the ten dollars I asked to be credited.
