Provided by YPmobileUnderstaffed, daily falls, delays in changing soiled briefs and turning, poor communication between nurses doctors and residents, poor compliance with disease control policies from not washing hands to not following sterile procedures, inadequate hygiene showers missed frequently, no so details on beds to help resident pull up or transfer, no phones in resident rooms, inadequate emergency equipment and training. Inorganization and difficulty receiving information from staff. Complaints rarely addressed by doctor. Long delays in receiving necessary treatments, tests, lab work. Symptoms ignored until condition is severe before implementing treatment. Adequate pain control not provided to residents who need them. Hospice patients symptoms which cause discomfort not treated and often ignored. Increasing amounts of wounds and skin breakdown especially due to sheer and incontinence. Priorities of facility are often questionable. LPNs not often educated or experienced in recognizing symptoms of or dealing with acute or critical situations which delays emergency care and can lead to death. Department heads and supervisors at this facility have been found to be inadequately certified or Licensed for their positions therefore are not qualified to perform all necessary nursing interventions. Most disturbingly it has been discovered facility reuses bemoans, urinals, and even certain enema bags and tubings after washing the feces off in a regular dishwasher which do not reach high enough temperatures to kill all forms of bacteria. Many good staff members are being overworked, overwhelmed, unable to take breaks or lunches, and unable to adequately perform their jobs, supervise residents who are likely to fall, or assure resident safety. Facility needs nurses skilled in critical care and not just long term care. Facility needs education, priority adjustments, communication skills with family members and with other staff. Confusion and frustration is very apparent here. Organization, sanitation, proper infection control requirements practiced.UTIs are frequent repeatedly being found in these residents, pneumonia is also very common. Lpns in facility have no knowledge of intravenous lines, med administration or care. Only a very few qualified RNs are employed at this facility. Dangerously understaffed and infection control insufficient at facility.
